New podcast chases answers in the search for a missing Aussie mum

Sally Leydon, in collaboration with investigative partner Joni Condos (both pictured below), has joined forces with Podshape to continue the pursuit of answers in the search for Sally’s missing mother, Marion Barter.

Sally has dedicated nearly 28 years to uncovering the truth behind the mysterious disappearance of her mum, a respected Australian teacher who vanished in June 1997.

The new podcast, The Missing Matter: The next chapter in the search for Marion Barter, delves deeper into the ongoing investigation, revealing exclusive never-before-heard details from the brief of evidence, uncovering new leads from Sally and Joni’s global trip to retrace Marion’s steps from 1997, and offering profound reflections on the twists and turns of this complex case.

This series will also feature insightful conversations with key individuals dedicated to helping Sally uncover the truth about her mother’s disappearance. The podcast will be accompanied by exclusive bonus content, including photos and videos, keeping listeners even closer to the investigation.

The first episode of The Missing Matter will be available ad-free for subscribers on Apple Podcasts from 12 May 2025, with the series becoming free to all listeners two weeks later.
