New LiSTNR podcast series puts regional communities in the spotlight.

Reporter

LiSTNR today launches My Town, a series of podcasts developed specifically for regional towns and communities across Australia with the stories and topics that matter most to the locals.

The new audio destination for regional Australians launches today in Hobart and Adelaide and in the regional centres Townsville (Queensland), Newcastle and Albury (NSW), and Bunbury (Western Australia), initially with a view to launch in other regional markets.

My Town will feature locally produced and created podcasts especially designed and targeted for each market. The podcasts will include local news, and new and exclusive audio from each Triple M Breakfast show.

There will be stories about local people, local sport, and the town’s history. The series will cover events, adventures, and topics that matter to the local market, such as Newcastle and the Hunter market’s multi-million-dollar wine industry.

Blair Woodcock, SCA’s Head of Content – Regional, says “SCA has been a leader in creating entertaining and engaging content on the AM and FM dials for many years – and now, the My Town project enables us to double down on our commitment to remain fiercely local with an on-demand element to creating localised content.”

My Town is available now on the LiSTNR app.
