Nearly another marathon brekky show for Fox FM’s Fifi, Fev & Nick

On Melbourne’s 101.9 The Fox, Fifi, Fev & Nick almost found themselves staring down the barrel of another marathon brekky show this week, when they committed to staying on-air until they found a winner of their favourite listener game, Alphabucks.

It was only a fortnight ago that the team stayed on-air for 27 hours straight to achieve the Guinness World Record for ‘Longest Marathon For A Radio Music Show DJ (Team).’

On Wednesday this week, the teamed played the Alphabucks game a total of 22 times in a row, remaining on air until 10am, an hour past their typical knock-off time.

The eventual lucky winner was Melinda from Lang Lang, who correctly answered the ten questions, starting with the letter ‘M,’ in 30 seconds and won $10,000.

Mel dropped into The Fox to meet the team and accept her winner’s cheque. When asked what she would do with the money she said: “Probably go on a holiday.”

As well as working in childcare, Mel is mum to 15-month-old Jaxon and is expecting another baby boy in September. Husband Steve works away, so a family holiday will be a real treat for the soon-to-be-be family of four.
