Musical chairs as Mike E jumps in on KIIS Network Breakfast

Mike E has taken over from Kent ‘Smallzy’ Small as the temporary host of KIIS Breakfast this morning in the absence of Kyle & Jackie O.

As the industry braces for yet another jaw-dropping round of ‘what K & J did next’ headlines, Mike E – aka former Hit Network veteran Mike Etheridge – admitted on air “It’s weird to get the call up to help fill in.”

Newsreader Brooklyn Ross then helpfully explained, “Last week, when they needed someone to fill in again, they were walking around, saying ‘Who would come in and work with one day’s notice (and) no idea of how long they’re going to actually get the job for?’ I said ‘Mike E.’”

“So the reason I’m here?” said Mike E. “I wasn’t doing anything else.”

Smallzy had held down the fort for the previous two weeks.
