Mix 102.3 gives the people of Adelaide the chance to become a millionaire

Mix 102.3 is giving one lucky Adelaide person the chance to win a life-changing one million dollars in cash.

Since the ARN station’s Million Dollar Key competition kicked off this week, Mix Breakfast hosts Max and Ali have hidden 1023 keys throughout Adelaide, placing them around iconic sites in the city, with one secret location being revealed on air every hour.

Listeners who find a key must then call Mix102.3 for their chance to be a finalist and attend the final Key Party, to be hosted at the Chapley Group’s Munno Para Shopping.

In the first few days, Adelaideans have jumped on board, with many listeners expressing how much the money would mean to them.

“Oh my God, it would change our lives. We could buy a family house … we could pay for our wedding, we could pay off our HECS debts, help our family… it would literally change our lives,” said Jacinta.

Renae said “We actually found two keys, so we gave a key to a lady with a baby. She cried and hugged my daughter because she was so grateful.”

While 6-year-old Lucy said “I would buy a clubhouse for me and my sister. I would get mummy a little spa house. And Dad would get a big hug!”

Mix 102.3’s Breakfast host Ali Clarke says “Everybody lies in bed at night and imagines what they would do if they had a million dollars … well, now someone in Adelaide will get that chance to live out that dream.”

“And what better way to get in the running, than have some fun in one of Adelaide’s biggest treasure hunts?”

Co-host Max Burford says “This really feels like the pinnacle of prizes, doesn’t it? We’ve given away plenty of great things and helped a bunch of deserving people in Adelaide. But a one million dollar prize has always felt like the holy grail of giveaways.”

As part of the campaign, there will also be four Street Team activations at certain times over the coming months at Saints Shopping, Norwood Place, Pasadena Shopping and Munno Para Shopping.

Listeners who visit the Street Team at these locations can also join the Millionaire Club and go into the draw to win a bonus $5,000 cash.
