Jodie and Hayesy are Nova 919’s new breakfast hosts
Nova Entertainment has announced broadcaster Jodie Oddy and sports journalist Andrew Hayes as Nova 919’s new breakfast show starting in January 2023.
Jodie & Hayesy take the place of Ben and Liam, who are moving to Melbourne to host Nova 100 breakfast alongside new co-host Belle Jackson.
Oddy spent 13 years as host of the breakfast show on Mix and has been a freelance presenter and journalist for Network 10 for over 20 years.
In August 2021, she joined the Nova Network, making her return to radio as host of Nova 919’s Saturday breakfast show and has been a regular Friday contributor to the Ben & Liam breakfast show.
Most recently, Jodie was the host of The Jodie Oddy Show on Nova 919.
“I’ve loved being part of the Nova family for the last two years, so to step into the breakfast hot seat is an absolute dream, and I couldn’t ask for a better partner in crime than Hayesy,” said Jodie.
“Ben, Liam & Belle have become a staple listen in Adelaide, so we hope their wonderful audience will take us to their hearts and Nova 919 continues to have South Australia’s go-to breakfast show.”
Andrew Hayes, four-time SANFL Central Districts premiership player, made a name for himself as a sports reporter for Channel Seven news and a reporter for the SA Weekender lifestyle show.
Most recently, Hayes has co-hosted SEN’s breakfast show alongside Kane Cornes since December 2018, which he has now departed.
“I loved my time at Nova and have always been so grateful to the station for kicking off my radio career,” said Hayesy.
“I’m beyond excited to return where it all began and team up with Jodie. She’s an absolute professional and someone that I’ve always admired, so I can’t want to get stuck in and hang out with Adelaide over their morning coffee.”
Whilst Ben, Liam & Belle have recently been announced as Nova 100’s new breakfast show in Melbourne, the trio have endeared themselves to audiences over the past couple of years and will retain a local show in Adelaide.
Ben, Liam & Belle will kick off listener’s morning at 6am, handing over to Jodie & Hayesy at 7am.

Ah well. Ben and Liam were great while it lasted. Really disappointed with the announcement. Whatever happened to Nova doing things differently?

What’s happening with the rest of the Jodie Oddy Show team? They were so funny
Is the Adelaide talent pool really so low that we are just recycling ‘talent’ between three main FM commercial stations now? If reports and rumours are anything to go by, Sodastream will land at SAFM, Jody’s at Nova and Cosi will be hitting 102.3. Tighter rotations than a CHR playlist. I can think of so many young, fresh, talented driven broadcasters who would yield similar sort of results to Ben & Liam if given the chance. Adelaide’s loss is our gain with those boys hitting Melbourne next year. Can’t wait!

What a shame Ben and Liam are going to Melbourne, why does Melbourne always get the best of Adelaide? Why doesn’t Adelaide deserve the best?
I really enjoy listening to the boys, so sad.
I hope at least the music stays current and not back to the 70s, 80s etc.
I hope they keep in mind that the majority of people listen to the radio to listen to music not endless, idle chatter.
Cannot listen to nova 919 in the mornings anymore, it’s boring crap.
