Jase & Lauren up, Christian down and better news for 2DayFM in Survey 1 of 2026

Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren have leapfrogged ARN’s The Christian O’Connell Show to claim the mantle as Melbourne’s new #1 FM Breakfast show in the first metro radio survey of the year.

The Nova brekky team of Jase Hawkins, Lauren Phillips and Clint Stanaway enjoyed a remarkable share gain (+2.3% to 11.1) and a cume pick up of 62,000.

O’Connell’s newly-networked show on ARN’s Gold Network dropped 0.4% to a 10.6 share in Melbourne.

Gold 101.7 took a substantial hit in O’Connell’s first Sydney Breakfast survey, down 3.6% to a 6.1 share and shedding 74,000 in cume.

For Jonesy & Amanda – the long-standing Breakfast team O’Connell replaced – the share figure in Sydney Drive was steady on 8.4. In Melbourne, Gold 104.3 Drive dropped 1.2 to 12.0.

It was a good book for Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick – up 1.6 to an 8.8 share, placing them third among Melbourne’s FM Breakfast teams.

The KIIS Network’s now-defunct Kyle & Jackie O Show lifted 0.1 to go to a 5.1 share in Melbourne, its cume remaining unchanged. K and J’s Sydney share result was also unchanged on 12.7.

Despite a dip in share and 25,000 drop-off in cume, Ross & Russ on 3AW Breakfast continue to dominate the Melbourne brekky airwaves (-0.9% to 18.9).

2GB’s Ben Fordham cemented his position as #1 overall in Sydney Breakfast, up 1.7 to a 16.6 share.

And there was some heartening news for Sydney’s 2DayFM Breakfast, with Nath and Emma – in their first survey as a duo following the exit of Jimmy Smith – rising 0.7% to a 3.6 share.
