Hot Tomato still on top: Gold Coast Survey 3

Reporter

GfK Gold Coast Survey 3 is out, and it’s a bit of mixed bag – with Hot Tomato still leading the way overall (up 0.5 to 16.4), the station enjoying a significant gain among people 25-39 (up 7.6 to 22.3).

It came in ahead of Triple M (down 1.2 overall to 12.8) and SEA FM (down 1.7 to 9.4)

Hot Tomato’s Galey and Emily Jade still hold down the top spot in Breakfast, though were down slightly (0.3) to 16.3, with Triple M second (down 1.4 to 12) with SEAFM third in Brekky (down 1.4 to 9)

Hot Tomato enjoyed gains across the day

Hot Tomato Content Director Brendon “Whippy” Dangar says “A team of underdogs delivering top dog results. We are so proud to maintain the number 1 position all year and it’s a result the whole team is so proud of. While we are a part of the best network in the country, we do everything on the air from our Southport studios and again the Gold Coast has gravitated to the only 100% locally made radio in the market. We will celebrate with our listeners tonight at the Cali Beach Club and one lucky Gold Coaster will be the real winner of the day, taking home $10,000.”

Ciaran Davis, ARN Media CEO and Managing Director, adds “These incredible results are a testament to Hot Tomato’s ability to not only capture hearts but also deliver unparalleled commercial success. As we continue to dominate the Gold and Tweed Coast airwaves – particularly in the crucial 25-54 demographic – we look forward to leveraging these exceptional results to provide our clients with impactful and effective commercial solutions.”

A network breakfast show on Sea should fix that.

Hot Tomato looking good across all dayparts except nights where local is getting beat by network programming on the other stations.

Big fan of the K but it seems that’s not working anymore.

Maybe Big K needs to play to a slightly more mature audience ???

Well deserved result for Sea FM.
More networking is no doubt the answer!

SCA soundly beaten on Gold Coast. Just like Sydney where last time I looked they were last and second last rated FM. No wonder ARN are about to snap them up, there will be quite a few top programming executives who won’t last 5 minutes working for Cairan Davis. 2DAYFM will going nowhere. Don’t know why they waste money on press and marketing. They haven’t even got the product right yet.

“Only 100% locally made radio in the market.”
Absolutely not true!
Unless this comment is only about stations that are allowed to be a part of radio survey.
