Hot Hits with Nic & Loren: The Hit Network welcomes new national Nights show
The Hit Network’s new national Nights show, The Hot Hits with Nic & Loren, launches tonight.
Hosted by Nic Kelly and Loren Barry, it’s a show where listeners can discover their new favourite music, hear the hits, tune in for special guests and get the latest music news.
Nic is a passionate advocate of music and has been the host of The Hot Hits on weekends across the Hit Network.
Loren has an established national profile, having been a member of The Marty Sheargold Show on the Triple M Network.
Nic says “Nights radio has been a dream for me since I listened to Tim Lee & Biggsy’s Hot 30 as a teenager on the Central Coast, and to get to do a nightly show that focuses on my greatest love, music, and helps amplify the story of super talented people is life affirming and a privilege.”
Loren says “Co-hosting The Hot Hits is a dream come true. As someone who grew up listening to Nights radio in my bedroom every night, this is very much a ‘pinch me’ moment.”
The Hot Hits with Nic & Loren will be heard Monday to Thursday from 7pm to 10pm, and Saturdays from 3pm to 5pm, while The Lucy & Nikki Show, hosted by Lucy Jackson and Nikki Westcott, will be heard across the Hit Network on Fridays from 7pm to 10pm, and Saturdays from 5pm to 8pm.
What’s happening to Mike E and Emma??
@Max
Emma confirmed the end of Mike e and Emma via her insta story
What about Mike and Emma ? Where are they going ? Nova ??
@Max: The article on RadioInfo suggested there’s industry rumours that Emma might be paired with Jimmy & Nath on 2DayFM breakfast. No idea about Mike E, although I’d assume it’s quite possible that he may have gotten the axe.
Either way, does anyone want to predict that Nic & Loren might eventually get the 2DayFM (or another metro market) brekky presenting gig?
Sorry but this is lackluster.
“As someone who grew up listening to Nights radio in my bedroom every night…”
I hope SCA have a strategy to continue this for the new generation (Alpha) coming through. Live FM radio isn’t enough. If this show isn’t also streaming live across Twitch, TikTok, insta, youtube, everywhere, the whole shebang, at the same time its live on air, then I give it 12 months tops. Get everywhere, have open chat and comments, do everything to make the show huge and exciting.
I am glad for this new show to begin the year of 2025. I have followed Nic ever since his days at Coast FM playing N’Sync and now am thrilled for this new venture on Hit LiSTNR Audio
