Honouring storytellers around the globe

The New York Festivals® Radio Awards competition has announced the 2022 Radio Awards shortlist across 14 category groups.

World-class audio entries created by storytellers from 24 countries were judged online by the 2022 New York Festivals Radio Awards Grand Jury.

Those to make the shortlist include audiobooks, dramas, documentaries, breaking news coverage and music specials from radio stations, networks, prominent production companies and independent producers.

The UK led with 75 entries shortlisted followed by the United States with 57.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Radio New Zealand were among the shortlisted global broadcasters.

All Entries in the 2022 competition were judged online by NYF’s Radio Awards Grand Jury of 200+ producers, directors, writers, and other creative media professionals from around the globe and judged on the following set of criteria: production values, creativity, content presentation, direction, writing, achievement of purpose and audience suitability.

Award winners will be announced during the New York Festivals 2022 Storytellers Gala virtual event on April 26th. All winners will be showcased on the Radio Awards winners gallery.
