Goodbye Clarendon Street. SCA Melbourne moves house

Reporter

“I have spent more time here than anywhere else. Some awesome memories … and more importantly, awesome work mates.”

Triple M weekday announcer ‘Dangerous’ Dave Williams sums up the feelings of many at SCA headquarters in Clarendon Street, South Melbourne as they prepare to up sticks.

Today will be their last day in the building before the company moves to its new digs – a purpose-built location just around the corner in Moray Street.

On Wednesday night, SCA hosted its Solstice Session on the famous Clarendon Street rooftop, the last before the move to Moray Street.

With more than 400 guests, SCA clients were treated to a live performance from Australian ARIA Award-winning singer-songwriter Vance Joy alongside 101.9 The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick, Hit Network’s Late Nights and Weekend Breakfast duo Jimmy & Nath, Triple M’s JB & Billy, LiSTNR’s Matt & Alex and more.

It was a fitting way to farewell the building that many will remember for its fun vibe, intimate live performances and eye-catching décor – not least the beloved bright orange Triple M kitchen!

Goodbye old friend.
I remember being nervous as hell, with a team of incredible technicians watching on, as I opened the mic, to be the first person on air from the brand new Fox FM studios there back in 2008. Lightyears ahead of what we left behind at 180 St Kilda Rd. It was a brilliant place with many incredible people. I might be ‘across the road’ now, but cheers for the memories.
