Who won the Hottest 100?

The national countdown began today at noon and concluded at about 8pm.

Flume’s Say Nothing is the winner of the the Hottest 100, coming in at number 1 in the ABC youth station’s countdown.

At number 2 was B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All) by Eliza Rose & Interplanetary Criminal, followed by:

3. Hardlight by Spacey Jane

4. Bad Habit by Steve Lacy

5. It’s Been A Long Day by Spacey Jane

The number 100 song was Danielle (smile on my face) by Fred again.

Over 2.4 million votes were tallied in this year’s countdown. 23 artists debuted in the list.

For the second time in his career, Flume has topped the countdown, in 2016 he scored #1 with Never Be Like You ft. Kai. Not only has he clocked an impressive 17 total tracks in triple j’s Hottest 100 since his 2012 debut, he’s also the only act in the countdown’s history to rank a song in every position of the Top 5.

Hilltop Hoods have made history with the most countdown entries ever, and there has been 10 songs from First Nations artists, smashing the previous record of 6 songs.
