Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom injures himself in Mix 102.3 studio

Mix 102.3 Breakfast host Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom has been left bloodied and bruised following an in-studio accident.

Soderstrom slammed into a glass door with his face while rushing out of the studio.

Co-host Erin Phillips then created a makeshift wound dressing from the studio’s basic first-aid supplies and told her on-air partner he’d need stitches.

“It felt like I’d actually been punched. I haven’t been hit that hard for about 20 years, since we ran around playing football,” Soderstrom said on air after the accident.

“I really honestly feel like I’ve just been punched in the head.”

He said if the wound did need stitches, it would be the 15th time he’d required them in his head.
