Dave Gibson: One of FM’s great talents on Game Changers: Radio

One of the most talented performers Australian FM radio has ever produced, Dave Gibson is the latest guest on the Game Changers: Radio podcast with Craig Bruce. 

Starting out as a stand up comedian, Gibbo enjoyed a long and successful career in a range of different creative roles on TV, stage and radio. He played a key role on the Doug Mulray show before hosting Gibson & Duckworth on Triple M Brisbane.

“When a radio station is having fun, you can hear it on air,” he said. “A happy radio station sounds different to an unhappy one.”

Gibson also created and voiced some of the most popular radio characters on FM radio, including ‘Gloria’, ‘Nanna’ and ‘Himey Fimey’.

“I started getting ideas for characters that would call in,” Gibson recalled. “I wouldn’t tell Doug what character I was writing but he knew absolutely what character I was just by my body language.”
