Dating, life and sex after 40
Australian comedian, broadcaster, and author Nelly Thomas has launched a new weekly podcast, Dear Nelly, sex, relationships & dating advice from the other side of 40.
Together with her ‘coven’ of middle-aged weekly guests, Nelly will explore everything from dating deal breakers to dick-pick etiquette.
The Acast podcast sets out to demolish the cultural doom and gloom narrative of reaching mid-life, the show also explores breakups, parenting, marriage, and programming the remote.
“Like many people, I got ‘Covid Divorced’ after a long relationship and not only was it not a disaster, it was best for everyone involved,” said Nelly.
“Turning 40 is something faced with dread by some, but I want listeners to hear a different take – this is when you really come into your own.”
The first guest of the series is comedian Geraldine Hickey.
Geraldine and Nelly discuss ‘late to lez’, bad breakups, marrying late in life, and Geraldine’s surprising dating dealbreakers.
Future guests include Cal Wilson, Meshel Laurie, Harley Breen, Mel Buttle, Jo Stanley, Scott Brennan, and Wes Snelling.
