Christian O’Connell up, K & J down in Melbourne and Sydney in GfK Survey 6

Gold 104.3’s The Christian O’Connell Show has extended its lead as Melbourne’s #1 FM Breakfast show in the latest radio ratings, up 0.8% to a 10.9 share and picking up 26,000 in cume, as Fox FM’s Fifi, Fev & Nick move into outright second spot (+0.5% to a 9.5 share).

GfK Survey 6 of 2025 now sees Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren sitting third in the FM Breakfast standings, slipping 1.6% to an 8.4 share.

It was a disappointing Melbourne book for KIIS duo Kyle & Jackie O, who – after previous gains – fell 0.1% to a 6.0 share and saw a 16,000 drop off in cume, leaving them last among the FM Breakfast shows and now behind the ABC Melbourne Breakfast team of Bob Murphy and Sharnelle Vella, who went up 0.9% to a 6.4 share. ABC Melbourne also enjoyed the biggest overall share rise of any station.

Interestingly, K & J also dropped in Sydney Breakfast, where they’ve been dominating the local market – down 1.7% to 13.6 and shedding 34,000 in cume, with 2GB’s Ben Fordham the clear overall winner in that timeslot, up 2.6 to 16.8.

In Melbourne overall, 3AW still wins the day, and by a country mile – with the brekky team of Ross and Russ surging even further ahead as the city’s #1 Breakfast team, up 1.3% to a 20.3 share.
