Brent Ford appointed Capital Radio News Director

The Capital Radio Network has announced the appointment of Brent Ford (pictured) to the newly created position of News Director.

Born and Raised in Canberra, Brent has worked at the Capital Radio Network’s Canberra Newsroom for over five years. Ford is also the Head-Caller for the 2CC Raiders Call Team, calling Canberra Raiders matches and hosting Canberra’s only program for Canberra Raiders fans on 2CC during NRL season.

Having started his career eight years ago in the Capital Radio Newsroom, Brent has also previously worked at Canberra FM as a political advisor.

Capital Radio Network is investing in developing news content for its stations and listeners. As a result, Brent will lead all news operations for the Capital Radio Network with a full-time staff of eight Journalists and cadets based in Canberra, Goulburn, Jindabyne and Warrigal. 

“Brent has a news sense and ability to mentor others that make him the ideal choice to lead our news team,” said Group Program Director Pete Davidson.

“His dedication and versatility as a Journo, on-air personality and NRL commentator is unrivalled in Canberra. In this new role I know he will be awesome”.

Brent Ford commences his new role Monday, February 20.
