Brady Ellis leaves Townsville’s Star 106.3 Breakfast show

The Crystal & Brady show is no more, with co-host Brady Ellis announcing his departure.

Ellis told listeners on Friday he was leaving radio to focus on his KX Pilates Idalia business that he is opening soon with his wife.

“I have done Breakfast radio for 10 years now, this is my 10th year doing it, four and a half, nearly five in Townsville, and it’s time for a change,” he said.

He needed to be able to put all his time and energy into the new business venture, he said, something that Breakfast radio hours would not allow.

“I think people probably don’t realise that Breakfast radio, doing this job isn’t just wandering in for a couple of hours and taking rubbish – although that is part of it – it takes over your whole life.”

Radio Today understands co-host Crystal Vas is staying in the Breakfast slot and Grant Broadcasters has hired a replacement for Ellis, however isn’t yet ready to reveal who it is.
