A month of milestones
Matt ‘Lippi’ Lipiarski was 21 when he landed a job in programming with ACE Radio in the south-west Victorian town of Hamilton.
It unleashed snowball effect, which led to him becoming a Music Director, a Breakfast host and a Content Director, earning him a gong as a Radio Today 30 Under 30 winner.
Today, the AFTRS and Swinburne graduate is ACE Radio’s FM Music Director and Content Director for Colac’s MIXX FM and 3CS.

Notching up fifteen years with the company this month, Matt said on LinkedIn “Hard to believe I was 21, leaving home and about to experience life in the country. Little did I know I would continue the ‘country life’ for the next 15 years.
“Extremely grateful to ACE Radio for providing me so many opportunities. I’ve worked with some great people, been a part of wonderful communities, and made lifelong friends and memories along the way.”

Tracey Sergiacomi and Matthew ‘Matty’ Ambrose recently celebrated nine years of hosting Breakfast together on ARN’s Hitz 939 in Bundaberg.
Trace – who started her radio journey as the receptionist at Hitz – said on LinkedIn “Happy 9 years to Matty and I. Pretty rare to have the same co-host this long in regional radio.”

Adelaide journalist and broadcaster Bevan ‘Bevo’ Jones this month notches up 8 years of hosting the Legends With Bevo podcast.
Bevo was recently featured in a News Corp (subscription required) list of Aussies who’ve turned their side hustles into business opportunities.
Bevo tells of losing his dream job as a solo Breakfast announcer in 2018, and how he turned disappointment into opportunity.
“I was catching up with a friend who’s a four-time Olympian, and he suggested a show where celebrities give their footy tips and share stories from their careers. I thought, why not?”
“And the rest is history.”
The Legends with Bevo podcast has gone on to win a swag of national awards.
It hasn’t always been easy ride, though.
“Passion doesn’t pay invoices,” says Bevo. “But it keeps you showing up.”
These milestones come hot on the heels of Andrew ‘Deaksy’ Deak notching up 20 years of hosting Breakfast on Gippsland’s 3GG.
