92.7 MIX FM’s Mark and Caroline to walk 30kms for charity

92.7 MIX FM on the Sunshine Coast have a big day ahead of them with breakfast duo Mark Darin and Caroline Hutchinson walking 30km to raise funds for charity and to mark MIX’s 30^th year on air.

The pair will start tomorrow morning at 6am from their Plaza Parade Studio in Maroochydore then through Cotton Tree, Alexandra Headlands, Mooloolaba, over to Minyama, through Kawana, down to Caloundra via Dicky Beach, Shelly Beach and finally Kings Beach and STEPS Pathways College.

The steps are raising funds for STEPS, with this the fourth year of the fundraiser, and biggest distance. As this is also MIX FM’s 30^th anniversary year Todd & Sami, the MIX FM Drive Team, will join Mark & Caroline with some moral support from 1pm.

Mark said:

“I’m so happy to support Steps Pathways College for another 19 km walk. The work they do is transformational for their students. WAIT WHAT? 30 km? …Ok I’m just going to top up my Uber account.”

“We are so excited for walk number four. It’s a longer than last year – I hope we make a lot more money too,” added Caroline.

The Charity walk is on Friday March 8 from 6am to 4pm. At the conclusion Mark & Caroline and Todd & Sami, along with their walk support team, will be cheered across the finish line with a celebratory event to follow hosted by the College.
