5AA replace Blair

After Amanda Blair quite the top-rating talk station in March (read here), 5AA Adelaide Program Director Brad Hulme has chosen former Channel Ten newsreader Belinda Heggen as Blairs replacement.

Heggen, who was sacked by Channel Ten in February, told the Advertiser,

"It came out of the blue, I really didn't expect it. I was asked to fill in during the school holidays and I jumped at the chance. I walked into Brad's office and I said I absolutely want this job"

Whilst Heggen said she had not considered moving into radio, she viewed her sacking at TEN as a blessing in disguise as it provided the 5AA opportunity.

Heggen starts on-air with 5AA on 12 June.
