Kevin Bartlett returns to 3AW for 2020 AFL season

Staff Writer

Kevin Bartlett is joining the 3AW Football commentary for the 2020 AFL season.

Bartlett played over 400 games for Richmond, and is regarded as one of AFL’s best pundits. He’s set to join the team every Sunday, with the odd Saturday twilight fixture thrown in.

He returns to the station where he called games in the 1990s, following a career that saw him play the third most games of all time, before coaching Richmond for a further four years.

“I’m thrilled to be back on 3AW as I have great memories of calling the footy, hosting the Saturday sports show and working on the breakfast program. 2020 is going to be a massive year of football, and for me 3AW Football is the place to be,” Bartlett said.

Since his retirement, Bartlett has become one of the game’s top pundits and best analysts.

His first game back will see him calling alongside Matt Granland, Matthew Richardson, Tony Shaw and Mick Warner.

Bartlett was employed by 1116 SEN as part of well-liked Drive duo KB & The Doc. He spent 15 years at the station and walked away in 2019 citing concerns over the direction of the station.
