The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick unmask $10,000 ‘Traitor’

After two weeks of on-air chaos, sabotage, and mounting suspicion, The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick have finally unmasked their $10,000 ‘Traitor’ – with co-host Nick Cody revealed as the culprit.

Listeners were invited to play along, piecing together clues for a chance to win $10,000, as a series of bizarre and disruptive moments unfolded live on-air.

From derailed segments to suspicious slip-ups, the hunt for the saboteur quickly became one of the show’s most talked-about segments.

The shortlist of suspects spanned the entire team: including Fifi Box, Brendan ‘Fev’ Fevola, Nick Cody, show anchor Josiah Shahla, Content Director Amanda Lee and members of the production team, with listeners analysing every moment for potential clues.

Among the most notable incidents:

  • Fifi accidentally telling a listener they would win $10,000 on Alphabucks,
  • Coffee mysteriously disappearing after Producer ‘Dange’ was last seen in the kitchen
  • Nick’s alarm going off mid-show
  • Fifi missing an interview with Robbie Williams — who himself tipped her as the ‘Traitor’
  • The show’s digital out-of-home billboards being tampered with, reading “Fofo, Fiv & Nock”.

Despite 40% of listeners tipping Josiah as the saboteur, the truth was revealed in a dramatic on-air “roundtable”, where fingers were pointed across the team before Cody was ultimately exposed.

A montage of evidence confirmed his involvement, including sabotaging Alphabucks by throwing out the answer sheet, sharing incorrect facts about Melbourne, being late to segments, and even falling off a chair mid-interview.

After being exposed as the traitor, Nick Cody said: “I was the traitor! I put [UFC champion] Alex Volkanovski’s song into the show. I did about eight different things… you’ve got to be subtle. This was really hard, I just don’t make mistakes (laughs), so what am I meant to do? I’m not an over-the-top guy, so this was so much pressure when [Show Content Manager] Leon called. I wanted to call in sick for a couple of weeks! (laughs)”

The $10,000 was given to Sarah in Diggers Rest who was able to piece together all the clues. Explaining her suspicion, Sarah said: “Initially I thought he had flown under the radar, people had a lot of nominations for Fifi and Fev. But the Alphabucks is what solidified it!”

Listen to Fifi, Fev & Nick on Melbourne’s 101.9 The Fox from 6-9am weekdays, also on LiSTNR.
