Hear the stories of Australian veterans who Soldier On

A new podcast released by Acast and produced by Smart Fella Media explores the stories of Australian veterans with first-hand accounts of how their lives have been impacted by service. 

Soldier On is a weekly podcast is hosted by multi-award-winning journalist Hugh Riminton who will unpack the seven-episode series. 

With three episodes available now, the podcast connects and celebrates the Australian veteran community through detailed accounts covering entire spectrum of the defence industry. 

Upcoming episodes feature interviews with Lieutenant General Peter Francis Leahy, AC, Chief Executive Officer and Company Secretary of Australian War Widows NSW Renee Wilson, and Army veteran and Invictus Games gold medalist Ben Farinazzo.

“Hosting Soldier On has been a labour of love. Veteran welfare is a topic close to my heart, and I feel immense privilege to give a voice to veterans who have given our country their all. By telling their stories, victories and adversities live on long after our serving men and women return home,” said Hugh. 

Hugh Riminton has worked as a foreign correspondent, host, political editor and bureau chief for over three decades. He was the Australian foreign correspondent for CNNNine Network’s Nightline presenter, and is currently the National Affairs Editor at Channel Ten’s 10 News First. In addition, Hugh is on the board of numerous organisations, including veteran’s welfare charity Soldier On, which inspired the podcast.
