ABC gear up for the footy

ABC Grandstand are preparing for the start of the AFL season tomorrow night.

During the season they will broadcast up to 8 games a week.

ABC Grandstand also create specialist local programming to complement the actual games.

Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia

The Sunday Inquisition on Sundays from midday (Eastern) with Gerard Whateley, Stan Alves and journalist Scott Gullan dissect the weekend games and all the on-field action.

Western Australia

Sportstalk from 10am Saturdays (Western) with Clint Wheeldon, Corbin Middlemas, Ken Judge and journalist Mark Duffield analyse the season as it progresses.

South Australia

SA Grandstand from 11am (Central) every Saturday with Peter Walsh, Matt Clinch, Rod Jameson and journalist Andrew Capel review the weekend ahead.

Grandstand Digital and online

The Opening Bounce is a 30 minute program with Francis Leach, Kelli Underwood and Gerard Whateley who look ahead to the weekends AFL fixtures and discuss the big stories in the game.

The Final Bounce can be heard every Monday with Matt Clinch. Look back at the weekend in the AFL, hear highlights and interviews from every match of the round as well as the reaction from the coaches.

Both of these programs are also available as a podcast.
