Job Description

9Podcasts is a team of talented content creators, who lean into the power of the conversation to create original, premium podcasts that inspire, inform, and entertain. 9Podcasts is a division of the Nine Radio department. We work with diverse brands and talent across the wider Nine Network to evangelise podcasts as a core pillar of their content strategy.

Nine Entertainment is seeking a Podcast Producer for their new 9Podcast Team based in Melbourne.

The successful applicant will have experience in producing, scripting and editing a ground-breaking original podcast production.

You will have audio content creation experience with a passion for storytelling across multiple genres such as news, sport, lifestyle and entertainment.

You will be able to juggle various projects simultaneously while delivering high-quality productions within tight deadlines. You will also be interested in a generalist role where you will have a diverse range of responsibilities.

Day to day you will:

  • Participate in editorial planning and development of each show with Nine’s Digital Audio team.
  • Podcast episode planning and scripting.
  • Manage podcast recordings including guest bookings.
  • Manage podcast platform hosting.

Qualifications

As a Podcast Producer for Nine, you will work with a range of exciting and diverse brands, stakeholders, clients and talent. You will contribute to the rapid growth of this team by being a proactive team player with the ability to handle a fast-paced environment. You will not only be technically skilled but also will have had experience in producing before.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in podcasting or broadcasting.
  • Excellent time management skills – managing multiple shows at once.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic audio and video editing capabilities

Desirable experience & skills

  • Audio content creation experience in either News, Sport, Lifestyle or Entertainment.
  • An understanding of the role social media plays in podcast discovery.
