ARN is seeking an Announcer & Operations Assistant to join our passionate team at 2EC in the heart of Bega on the far south coast of NSW. Start your workday with a trip to Tathra Beach, just 15 minutes from town, and enjoy our locally made vegemite and cheese on toast while soaking in the view. Then it’s back to the station to play better music and more of it to entertain our audience at the end of the day. With an airport 25 minutes away in Merimbula and just a 2.5-hour drive from Canberra, you can live that coastal life you’ve dreamed of and still travel to see your jealous friends. It doesn’t get better than this!

• Work with the Content Director to provide live & VT on-air shifts, as directed.
• Preparation and presentation of Live or Voice Tracked shifts as rostered. These shifts are to be presented in a way that maximises the number of listeners and has them listening for as long as possible.
• You will create content for the brand’s social media.
• Periodic self-air checking via the company’s online logger system, and no less than a fortnightly meeting with the Content Director for review purposes.
• Execute in-market contesting and other activities as briefed by the Content Director.
• You will be responsible for working with and assisting the Content Director in driving and executing the station’s overall strategy.
• You will work with all key functions of ARN and help execute great content for the brand and clients across multiple platforms.

• Experienced and proficient in an on-air role on radio.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• A basic knowledge of digital media products including social media, content marketing and digital audience engagement.
• The ability to execute sophisticated content and promotional strategies.
• Experience in the use of Zetta, G-Selector, Audata, Google and Microsoft’s suite of programs.
