Warburton ‘not interested’

Staff Writer

Following rumours on monday that James Warburton was the most likely candidate to replace Rhys Holleran at SCA, Warburton has declared that he is ‘not interested’ in the role.

Warburton, currently CEO of V8 Supercars and formerly (and famously) CEO of Network Ten briefly has been with V8 Supercars for 2 years, and said that he was in that role for the long haul.

He said: “I sent a note to the (V8) team owners this morning that I didn’t know where the speculation came from. I haven’t been approached nor am I interested in being the CEO of a media company.

“As long as the stakeholders (teams and Archer Capital) want me and believe I am any value then I am here for the long haul.”
