95.3 Triple M raised over $160,000 in 2018 for Goulburn Valley Health, and the station is already looking to next year.

The money was raised through Give Me 5 for Kids and has enabled Goulburn Valley Health to support local children in hospital.

“We are incredibly proud of the Shepperton community for this year’s stellar result which will enable Goulburn Valley Health to continue supporting local children in hospital,” said general manager Steve Hetherton.

”We are overwhelmed by this astonishing result,” added GV Health Foundation director Carmel Johnson.

“Money raised will allow us to purchase equipment for our Child & Adolescent Unit and Special Care Nursery such as new paediatric beds and cots, as well as a state of the art isolette for our premmie babies.”

Fundraising events for next year will include Trivia at the Aussie Hotel, Lisa’s Plant Sale and the IGA Market Day continuing, as well as new events including Business Breakfast at the Parklake Hotel, Girls Night Out at Shepparton Greyhound Association and the All Australian Mower Racing Titles.

“The diverse range of activities on offer in 2019 will mean the entire Goulburn and Murray Valley community will be able to get involved,” said Hetherton.

“Goulburn Valley Health is extremely thankful for the support we get each year from Triple M and the Goulburn Valley Community, and warmly congratulates Paul Archer for his tremendous contribution to this year’s success and all those preceding,” said Johnson.

Give Me 5 for Kids runs each year in June, but donations are accepted year-round here.
