Tim Minchin gets playlisted

Tim Minchin, comedian and muso, has taken aim at Catholic Cardinal George Pell in his song ‘Come Home (Cardinal Pell)’ – and Triple M has added it to their playlist nationwide.

If you haven’t heard it already, Minchin doesn’t hold back as he urges Cardinal Pell return to Australia to appear at the Royal Commission into child sex abuse.

“The whole thing stinks to high hell, and many people in Australia are very, very angry…not least of all, the survivors in Ballarat, where abuse was sickeningly rife” Tim Minchin wrote on his website.

The songs release comes after a GoFundMe page was set up to send child sex abuse survivors to Rome to see Cardinal Pell give evidence at the commission.  Last reports that they were aiming for 55k to cover travel but already have secured over $111k.
