The Music Network Chart Wrap: August 12

TMN Hot 100

Taking The Weeknd’s throne this week is Lost Frequencies’ Are You With Me, which after weeks of dominating the digital and sales charts (#1 on TMN Dance, ARIA Dance, ARIA Singles and Shazam), now rests at #1 on the TMN Hot 100 and pushes The Weeknd’s Can’t Feel My Face down to #2. DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge take a new peak at #6 with You Know You Like It, as does Aston Merrygold’s Get Stupid at #8. Vance Joy makes an incredibly strong move to #10 from last week’s debut point of #40, one of this week’s most moved tracks.

As for notable movement outside the Top 10, Delta Goodrem’sWings kicks things off at #16 from #46, another strong ‘week two’ move and is likely to climb into Top 5 territory come the next chart. Sam Feldt’s Show Me Love featuring Kimberly Anne just falls short of the Top 20 at #21 from #34. Nico & Vinz enjoy strong week two airplay on their latest track That’s How You Know, climbing to #40 from #78, as does John Newman’s Come & Get It which just manages to see the light of the Top 45 at #44 form #90. Most moved this week is Disclosure’s new certified hit, Omen which features Sam Smith. It climbs to #29 from #99, a total of 70 places.

Two new debuts make their way into the Top 50 this week with One Direction’s Drag Me Down entering the highest at #25. Havana Brown’s Battlecry featuring Bebe Rehixa & Savi enters at #48 making the last Top 50 entry, though Sigma’s Glitterball featuring Ella Henderson just misses out at a debut of #51.

ARIA Singles

One Direction take a ridiculously high debut this week with Drag Me Down; their Spotify record breaking single debuted at #1. It becomes their new career highpoint on the singles chart since Live While We’re Young peaked at #2 in 2012. It also marks their first single as a group without Zayn Malik. Adam Lambert jumps to #2 from #16 following a successful promo tour of Australia last week. Selena Gomez manages to just break into the Top 10 this week withGood For You featuring A$AP Rocky climbing to #10 from #1. Vance Joy sees Fire And The Flood climb up into the Top 15 at #14 from #21 this week, making for his second highest charting single to date, beating Riptide which peaked at #6.

ARIA Albums

Meghan Trainor returns to #1 for a second week on the ARIA Albums chart with Title, outselling the new #2 and highest debut this week, Josh Pyke’s But For All These Shrinking Hearts. The follow up to 2013’s The Beginning And End Of Everything, it marks Pyke’s highest ever ARIA Album chart peak. Another debut comes in at #3 with Gurrumul’s The Gospel Album. It follows previous albums Gurrumuland Rrakala. At #6 is a high re-entry from Adam Lambert’s The Original High which just falls short of its previous #5 debut, no doubt raking in the success of the promo tour. Similarly, Jason Derulo’sEverything Is 4 re-enters at #13, also due to a promo tour of the country last week, and also landing just one spot below if its debut place of #12.
