The Hamish & Andy Podcast returns for 2019

One of Australia’s most-downloaded podcasts is set to make its 2019 return later this week.

The Hamish & Andy Podcast, featuring former SCA Drive royalty Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, is back on Thursday.

Since the boys said goodbye to their daily radio show (for the second time) at the end of 2017, their fans have had to make do with a podcast.

Upon launching the podcast last year, Hamish & Andy definitely took some time to get used to the medium, being quite different from a live radio show.

Over the course of the year, they grew into podcasting – no surprise given their unquestioned broadcasting talent – and by the end of 2018 were making a lot more of the possibilities of podcasting.

The Hamish & Andy Podcast came in at #7 on Apple’s list of the most-downloaded podcasts in 2018.

It also came in a close 2nd to The Teacher’s Pet for Mediaweek’s Best Australian Podcast for 2018.

This year is the second of their reported multi-million dollar deal with PodcastOne, and with the success of the show in 2018, SCA’s podcasting platform will be hoping to lock them down for further years as soon as possible.
