SCA bolsters regional radio with new additions

SCA today announced new content appointments, and newly created content roles, for both its Hit and Triple M stations, as well as a number across the regional network, with more to come. 

Blair WoodcockSCA Head of Content – Regional, said the appointments and new roles are a sign of the growth and development of the team, and the strength of the regional radio market. 

“It’s great to announce these moves as it reflects the growth and development of our existing team and allows us to open the door to more content creators who are excited about creating fiercely local content with SCA. We have existing roles to fill, and exciting new opportunities yet to be announced,” he said. 

In Townsville, Nathan Bongiovanni begins at Hit103.1 on August 22 as Assistant Content Director and announcer, making the move from the regional Hit Network Workday shift. 

Carley Whittington begins as the new Triple M Workday announcer on August 22, a move across the corridor from Townsville’s Hit103.1. 

Staying in the North Queensland capital, Rebekah Lambert starts in the newly created position of Breakfast Producer for Triple M’s own Pricey for Breakfast on August 15. Lambert previously worked in promotions at the station.            

Starting a week later on August 22 in Townsville is Alicia Foster as the new Hit Queensland Breakfast Producer working on Hit Breakfast with Cliffo & Gabi

In Toowoomba in Southern Queensland, Dane McGuirk has been appointed Content Director and announcer at Hit Darling Downs. He makes the move up from Riverina’s Hit93.1 and starts in Queensland’s famous garden city on September 12.  

In addition to the recent appointments, there are more jobs across SCA’s regional radio network set to be advertised including the workday shift on the Hit Network in Townsville, the workday shift on Riverina’s Hit93.1 and the newly created role of Hit Network Workday announcer on Hit101.9 Fraser Coast

“There’s more to come,” said Woodcock. 

“We have an incredibly talented group of content creators through our regional stations and to watch them grow is amazing.”
