RTI FM on air for the last time

As Melbourne’s Radio Training Institute prepares to close its doors for good, its final student intake is gearing up for ‘live broadcast week’.

Radio Today broke the news in February that the RTI was to close forever after it was decided that keeping the institute running at a standard organisers were happy with was not possible.

RTI FM: The Sound of Melbourne showcases the talent of eight ‘up and coming’ stars: Jessica Window, Adam Roche, Victor Mims, Keely Rooney, Georgina Hacon, Amy Hegedus, Simon Kelesidis and Steven Hagiliassis.

For the next five days, Melbourne’s newest station is streaming live with a local, fresh and contemporary format.

It’s a challenge content director Amy Hegedus is looking forward to.

“We have an amazingly unique and diverse group.  Be prepared for radio like you’ve never heard before.”

RTI FM can be streamed from 7am-7pm Wednesday, May 30 and 7am-8pm Sunday, June 3.
