Radio prepare for Mardi Gras

Radio is preparing for tonight's 36th annual Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade.

As reported last month, 2Day FM have changed their name to 2Gay FM for the weekend.

Nova 96.9 have a Facebook cover photo that uses drive host Marty Sheargold's name to reference the event – "Marty-Gras".

KIIS 1065 have this as their cover photo on Facebook and have adjusted their logo for the event.

Melbourne's JOY 94.9 and Sydney's 2SER are joining forces to broadcast live from the parade. Listen to JOY 94.9, online at joy.org.au or to Star Observer Digital in Sydney on digital radio.

From 6pm there will be "a mega Mardi Gras mix of music, special interviews, live commentary and on the spot updates. We’ll also be bringing you all of the action live via JOY’s Facebook & Twitter too so if you can’t be there we’ll take you there for all of the glitz and glamour of the 2014 Mardi Gras Parade!"

And OX Live are also getting ready for a big weekend. Yesterday they stopped by 2Gay FM to say hi to Jules Lund.
