NXFM’s Sophie, Heath and Normy put four Newcastle couples to the test in the inaugural Running of the Brides.

With the launch of the Spring Racing Carnival, the couples dressed in their wedding attire lined up on the main straight.

The 100 metre dash in front of the crowd, saw Isabella and David from Raymond Terrace take out the race and walk away with a $15,000 wedding.

Despite an early fall, the race was a tight run affair… you won’t believe what happens in the final metres.
