For the seventh year Nova 100 has partnered with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival to feature guest spots with comedians, ticket giveaways and online support.

Nova General Manager Helen Davies commented:

“Melbourne comes alive during the Comedy Festival and we are extremely excited to partner with this amazing event. Not only do we get to reflect the wide range of local and international comedians but we also get to create our own content to share with listeners and comedy fans.”

Nova 100’s Meshel & Tommy (pictured) will broadcast live from Swanston Street on Friday 11 April, and a number of the comedians from the festival will make guest appearances on the show.

The recently departed, but long-time Breakfast host, Kate Langbroek will return to Nova to host Katie’s Komedy Kapers, a series of two hour comedy festival specials, every Sunday night from 30 March, Kate will also host Friday Night Festival Fever from the Cherry Bar in AC/DC lane with comedians dropping in between shows.

Nova will also host three 'ROFL Rooms', which feature a live show from an array of comedians. The ROFL Room will run on consecutive saturday nights with tickets only available by listening to Nova.

And to round it off, Breakfast host Meshel Laurie will interview a number of big comedy names, including Dave Hughes, Denise Scott and Ronnie Chieng for her Comedians in Carriages Drinking Tea shows.
