Nick Cody replaces Lawrence Mooney on Triple M Brisbane’s The Big Breakfast

Former Assistant Editor

The Big Breakfast is going through some changes for 2019, with comedian Nick Cody joining the show full time.

Nick joins Marto and Robin Bailey as a full-time member of the Triple M’s The Big Breakfast team each morning from 5:30am.

Lawrence ‘The Moonman’ Mooney announced this morning on the show that he will be “moving on” after just one year on the show.

“It is sad because I’ve really had a great time here and I’ll miss you a lot,” he said. “We’ve had a great year and I’ve certainly had a great year.”

“I’ve never laughed so much in a radio year in my entire life,” reflected Robin.

“You are the funniest bloke, the loosest unit I have ever met. And I don’t think I’ve ever worried about a co-host as much as I’ve worried about you.”

Ben ‘Dobbo’ Dobbin will also pop in next year from time to time with breaking sports news.

The Big Breakfast will also be joined by The Grill Team’s EP Max Dudley for 2019, replacing Scott Menz who moves into the role of music director.

I hope Lawrence Mooney is the one replacing Matty Johns for the Triple M Sydney breakfast show “The Grill Team”! The Moonman is one of the few talents on Australian radio that can replace Matty and still make the Triple M Sydney breakfast show funny and entertaining in 2019 and beyond!

Is robin staying? Seems stupid. She should tune into 97.3 like half of Brisbane does everyday… because they’ve got the widest variety of hits.
