Murdoch University’s Campus Radio returns to the air

Students at Murdoch University are back on the air for another year, with over 40 students jumping behind the mics in the university studio.

Campus Radio at Murdoch as re-launched for 2019, featuring the largest cohort of students yet.

The student-operated station runs from April 22 through to May 31, with ten shows across the week airing from 3pm – 5pm daily.

The class of 2019 are working behind the scenes as well as behind the mics, with a team looking after social media, branding, promotions and research, as well as the day-to-day business of presenting, producing and editing show content.

Campus Radio is made possible by Radio Fremantle, and can be heard on 107.9 FM in Western Australia, and 90.7 FM in Melbourne, as well as on the SYN digitally and online.

“Radio Fremantle gives the students a fantastic opportunity for the students to broadcast and bring together all the skills they’ve developed in the COM313 classes,” sais course co-ordinator Dr Simon Order.

“We have students who are majoring in subjects as diverse as history, biomedical science, drama and film, but are united in their enthusiasm for broadcasting their passions and insights by enrolling in the radio courses”.
