Mark Richardson, co-host of the Crowd Goes Wild Breakfast will leave NZME Radio Sport at the end of August with his contract not being renewed.

Brian “Spoonman” Carlton is the latest to depart 2UE. For the last couple of years he has been the EP of 2UE Drive with Justin Smith.

Fred Botica has left 96FM. He was hosting the weekend Classic Café. Gavin Miller has taken his place.

Steve Blanda, one of the industry’s most respected news readers and winner of a record 18 ACRAs is joining smoothfm’s news team. “I’ve loved smoothfm since its inception, so it’s great to be part of the family”, said Steve. Steve has over 40 years in radio including 15 years on 2WS and 17 years on 2UE until he was voluntarily made redundant with the merging of the Fairfax and Macquarie Radio Networks. He joins Nova Entertainment from this Monday.
