96FM Content Director Brad McNally’s position has been made redundant. ARN confirmed his departure after close to a five year stint. In a statement to Radio Today, a spokesperson said: “As part of our broader strategy to build on the existing success of 96FM we have reviewed the content structure, with a view to providing each of the individual areas within the local content team greater responsibility. “This has meant that the position of Content Director has been made redundant and Brad McNally has left 96FM.”

Carla Vella is re-joining Southern Cross Austereo as Head of Radio Sales Sydney. After a short stint with Network Ten, Carla will be back in the SCA fold from next Monday, covering sales strat across the entire Sydney radio portfolio and delivering integrated sales solutions across all SCA assets.

Nathan Lacey has scored the breakfast gig at 4AK in Toowoomba. Nathan was recently at 2MG/Real FM and started in community radio at Paradise FM in Ballina.

After 12 years with Classic FM Drive presenter Julia Lester has announced that she will retire from the ABC in September.
