Mix 102.3 listener bags $10,000 dollars for guessing sandpaper on a cricket ball

Mix 102.3’s Jodie and Soda have finally given away their $10,000 dollar Secret Sound cash prize to a very persistent caller.

After calling “hundreds of times”, Mawson Lakes listener Maree got through to the pair to give them her correct guess of sandpaper on a cricket ball.

Unsuccessful guesses at what the mysterious sound could be included velcro being pulled apart, sunscreen being applied and sticking on luggage tags at the airport.

Maree agreed to split her winnings 50/50 with her friend Laura who had been helping her crack the clues about what the sound could be.
