Michael Mason is Director of ABC Radio – covering off ABC Local, Classic, Radio National and the triple j networks.

We talk Survey #2 – triple j again had some super strong results around the country, not only in 18 to 24’s – even securing the traditional commercial territory of 25 to 39’s in some markets – we ask Michael if that is just a bonus?  

“we see spill on either side of the core demo …” But for triple j it is:  “to super serve, to nail it 100% on that audience 18 to 24”

How does the news cycle impact ABC Local Radio and how do they balance their content offering with a potential upcoming election?

“We have got to be telling the stories that the people want to hear, not just the stories that the people in power want to hear”.
