Staff Writer

One of the country’s most popular original podcasts Australian True Crime is celebrating its 100th episode.

Launched in 2017, the pod is co-hosted by radio personality Meshel Laurie and journalist Emily Webb.

Australian True Crime has almost reached 14 million downloads and was also named in Apple’s Best Podcasts of 2018.

It explores beyond the headlines and explores the ripple effect of crime on individuals and society.

“Australian True Crime is what we do in our rare spare time—it’s our passion,” said Laurie.

“We are dedicated to creating the best content we can and helping people who may not have had the opportunity to share their stories.”

“We both still sometimes cannot believe how privileged we are to speak to people for this podcast and that it really resonates with listeners all over Australia and worldwide,” added Webb.

Australian True Crime is also preparing for a series of live episodes in Melbourne.

Current dates are Friday, June 14 at Saturday, June 15 at Chapel Off Chapell in Prahan.

Tickets on sale on from Monday, May 6 here.

You can also catch up on the full series.
