MediaWorks appoint new CEO

New Zealand radio network MediaWorks has appointed Wendy Palmer as their new CEO.

MediaWorks operate The Edge, The Rock, MORE FM, Kiwi FM, RadioLIVE, LiveSPORT, The Sound, The Breeze, George FM, and Mai FM.

Wendy has worked in radio sales, programming and research. She has been with the network for 8 years and has been the General Manager of the Auckland Radio operation for the majority of her time there.

MediaWorks Group Managing Director, Sussan Turner says:

"Wendy is a genuine all-rounder with proven commercial leadership. She has a deep understanding of the opportunities available to our business, and the experience, expertise and personal qualities to lead the Radio business to new successes."

Palmer is replacing Belinda Mulgrew who leaves after 4 years as Chief Executive.
