Matt ‘Splat’ Tilley vs Eagle
This morning on Fox FM, Matt 'Splat' Tilley took on champion women's boxer Lauryn Eagle in 'Champ vs Chump II'.
The fight was set to go for 3 rounds unless someone (most likely 'Splat') was knocked out.
With referee boxing champ Lester Ellis watching over the event, 'Splat' surprised a lot of people including Lauryn with his speed.
In Round 1 there was a lot of ducking and weaving from both opponents.
During Round 2 it got more heated with 'Splat' getting Eagle on the ropes in the neutral corner with his 'windmill boxing' and accidentally got her in the back of the head.
In between rounds Lauryn said of the hit…
"he started it"
Eagle definitely came out in Round 3 wanting to splat 'Splat' and when she connected a left punch to his head the referee called a technical knockout and 'Splat's' dreams of glory were over.
Watching the live stream on the Fox FM website, 'Splat' seemed very happy just to make it to 3 rounds and made a tearful announcement…
"I love youse all….Lauryn Eagle youse are unreal….I announce my retirement after a wonderful 6 minutes"
