Mark Taylor ACE Radio’s New CEO

Staff Writer

He’s been part of the ACE Radio family for close to 23 years and now Mark Taylor will be their new CEO.

Mark will take on the role Chief Executive Officer to replace Stephen Everett, who will officially retire at the end of February in the New Year.

ACE Radio Chairman Rowland Paterson made the announcement to all staff this morning saying:

As you are all aware, we have been seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to replace Stephen Everett, who will officially retire at the end of February 2016.

Over the last few months, myself, and a sub committee of the Board,  along with an Executive Search Company have been actively conducting interviews and undertaking the appropriate research to find the best person, who can ensure a smooth transition and someone who can retain the values, practices and philosophy of which we are all extremely proud.

We have interviewed a significant number of external applicants and several internal staff also.

That process is now completed.

Accordingly, I am delighted to announce that Mark Taylor has been appointed as the new CEO and will officially take over on Monday 12th October 2015.

Stephen will be assisting Mark over the next few months to ensure the changeover is one that will see  ACE Radio continuing to grow and excel.

Clearly, there will be further opportunities within the Network following Mark’s appointment and I will keep you informed as soon as these are decided.

In finishing, I want to thank Stephen for the magnificent job he has done as Managing Director.  Stephen has played a major role in guiding  ACE over the last twenty one years of our ownership, developing a financially strong company with a culture that many other media companies are envious of. Stephen’s commitment to the company has been tremendous and his support and advice to many individual staff members has been greatly appreciated over many years. I am sure you will all join with me wishing Stephen all the best for the future.

Mark Taylor was the  ACE Radio Group CD and General Manager for 2AY in Albury. He has been with the group since 1993. He will be their new CEO from Monday the 12th October 2015.
