Local Radio, Covering Local Footy Grand Final

It’s the annual tradition for 2ST.

A crowd of over 4000 packed into the stadium for the grand final between Warilla-Lake South Gorillas and Nowra-Bomaderry Jets – with every second live on air.

2ST’s local call team of Adam Straney, Ric Bardon, Chris Regan and Shaun Timmins covered the live call of the Group 7 Rugby League Grand Final from Collegians Sporting Complex in Wollongong on Sunday arvo.

2ST Program Director, Michael Moffett, said “it’s great that a station with the history of 2ST can continue a great tradition on Grand Final day, and it really highlights how local radio can impact by covering massive local events like this one”.

Who won?

The Nowra-Bomaderry Jets secured their first Grand Final win, taking the 2014 Premiership with a 30-20 full time score.
