Kyle turns down TV role + Wippa’s love for Sofia

With the Modern Family cast and crew arriving in Sydney to film upcoming Australian episodes of the show, radio stations are using it for content opportunities.

This morning, KIIS 1065's Peter Deppeler met Jesse Tyler Ferguson at the airport and on the weekend met Eric Stonestreet for some pics and audio grabs.

Kyle also revealed today that he apparently turned down an offer for a major role in the upcoming episodes. He said that because the character he was going to audition for was an integral part of the Aussie shows, and it would take a lot of time, he couldn't be bothered so didn't turn up. Over at Nova 96.9, Wippa has used the power of social media to try and make contact with Sofia Vergara to go on a date and he managed to get a response from her.

Wippa told news.com.au :-

“There’s a Qantas event which I think is welcoming them to town. I’m not sure of the finer details. I believe it’s a fairly exclusive cocktail party. And Sofia needs a date. I feel like she needs someone to have fun with. I know I got married last year, but I reckon I’m still the guy.”

“I don’t want to jump the gun. But if she wants to try and kiss me, I’ve got permission from my wife to go ahead.”

When Sofia arrived at Sydney Airport today, Sam Mac was there to present her with a rose from Wippa and ask her on the date.

She said “yes.. I mean Nooooooo “
