KIIS revenue grows

Staff Writer

In a tough advertising market at the moment, described as 'short-term' by most media organisations, ARN has defied the trend with KIIS 106.5 in Sydney being sold out for the remainder of May.

ARN has not publicly confirmed it, but Michael Bodey has reported in The Australian (here) that the ARN sales teams have been told there is no inventory available in May on KIIS.

CEO Ciaran Davis (left) is quoted as saying;

“Although the radio market remains very short, advertising briefs are increasing for Q2 and Q3 providing improved visibility.

We’re working hard to strengthen our networks to continue to deliver a larger and more valuable audience for our advertisers”.

The demand on KIIS is apparently across the board following the success of the Kyle & Jackie O transition, with the entire station enjoying an increase off the back of the Breakfast growth.
